Country Pumpkins

We got home from the hospital Sunday. It's so great to be home!
The kids were out of school Monday, it was parent/teacher conference day and Steve was off work so we took advantage of the beautiful day and made our annual visit to Country Pumpkins in Caledonia. Here are some pictures from our fun day.
Oh, notice the dog in the photos, that is our family's newest addition, he's a 4 month old Chihuahua, Molly got him for her birthday back in August, he's the sweetest little dog.

Molly's Painting

Here at Children's they have a paint instructor that comes a couple of times a month to work with certain patients, well Molly was lucky enough to get to have a little over an hour with the instructor on Tuesday. Look what Molly painted. Don't you love it ?!?!

Painting is something Molly has always shown an interest in and now after seeing this I think it's something she needs to pursue more.

I am so proud of it, it's something I will cherish forever. I am going to get it framed when we get home. Seriously I almost cried when I saw it because I knew she did it for me (Molly hates chickens, haha)
The picture isn't great, I forgot to bring my cord to upload my camera photos to the computer, this is a cell phone photo.
The painting is on canvas, it's just laying on a large piece of white paper.

Still

We are still in the slammer, I mean hospital. Today is day 9, I think. Looks like it's going to be probably Monday before we get out of here. :-(
I am really very frustrated right now with our school system! Can you believe as of right now I have heard nothing at all from any of Molly's teachers concerning her school work. It just makes me so mad! As if she doesn't struggle enough, can you imagine being in the hospital 13 or 14 days and going back with all that work to make up plus trying to figure out where they are at the moment. It just seems so wrong they can't help a little more than they do.

A Gloomy Saturday At The Hospital

It has been so gloomy here today but at least I got to watch the "Tide Roll" on tv. :-)
We are still hanging in here, tonight will be our 5th night here. Hopefully we're half way through with our stay.
Molly is on 3 different iv meds this stay, believe me she stays hooked up to iv's nearly constantly. That is no fun at all for her because she likes to get up and be able to move around the room freely without having to lug a iv pole everywhere. And she's still feeling really groggy a lot from the benedryl she has to take before one of her meds (the Vancomycin) which is every 6 hours.
The doctor said he will have her go downstairs Monday for a pulmonary function test, from that we should have a better idea as to when we'll get out of here.
Right now there are so many kids at Molly and Wesley's school who are out with the flu I just pray it stays away from our family, Molly sure doesn't need that. I will be terrified to send her back to school for fear of her catching the flu.
Tomorrow my uncle, aunt and cousin are coming up to visit. We're excited about that.
Monday I think my in laws are planning to come up, then Tuesday Steve will get to come back up and stay until Thursday. So hopefully our next several days will go back fast since we'll have visitors.

Hospital Time Again

Well the two weeks of oral meds Molly was on to try to improve her lung function didn't work. She was admitted to the hospital Tuesday, we'll be here 10 to 14 days as usual.
She is on 3 iv meds this stay which means she is hooked up to the iv pump nearly constantly it seems which she hates, hopefully they'll do good though and really improve her function.

Under Glass

Today as I was visiting my favorite blogs, I noticed a post called "under glass" over at Just Vintage. I thought I would share a couple of my "under glass" items.

Decade Day

Rock on Molly ...
