I got a set of bookends that had really old baby shoes attached to them. These shoes weren't bronzed, just really old leather little boot type shoes, precious.

Saturday Auction
Saturday Steve and I went to Aberdeen, MS to a antique auction. It had been ages since we've had a chance to go to an auction so it was an exciting day for us. The main thing Steve wanted to go for a grist mill stone, needless to say we didn't get what we went for. As usual there was someone there with more money to blow than us. Steve did bid up to $500, I wasn't standing by him, I was across from him but you can bet I was swinging my arms trying to get his attention and nodding my head no. (I was thinking of us starving to death this week because that would have been all our grocery money, haha...)Finally a lady stepped in and bid $775, that shut everyone up that was bidding. I hope her and her husband had good luck getting the big stone home because it weighed at least 1,000 lbs. Below is a picture of the grist mill stone.
I did buy a wooden box with probably about 10 floral frogs in it, I can use them in the antique booths to display ole pictures on I guess, and of course put a price on them also, they are nothing fancy though...We bought a pair of matching hobnail milk glass vases and 3 more milk glass pieces for a friend of his who collects milk glass.

cute things
I love the mason jars that Tiffany beaded and used along the aisle, there were also some hung in the tree, with the wedding being at sunset they were really pretty. I thought it was so cool that pink was one of the colors used in the wedding and what do you know, Walmart had pink sand to put in the jars.

Below is the punch bowl that Tiffany chose to use for the reception...It just fit the setting so well.

How The Day Started
The wedding day started off really hectic, mainly because we couldn't do any decorating or setting anything up until Saturday morning. That on top of having 12:30pm hair appointments didn't leave alot of time, there again don't know what we'd have done without Steve, his mom and Ms. Linda. Below is a picture of the pavilion where the reception was held, this was when we were just getting started but you get the idea of how beautiful it was. Sunday when Steve and I went out to clean up everything we just sat down in chairs for a while and enjoyed the quietness and beauty of the place. Between the trees and wisteria vine the pavilion is pretty much enclosed with greenery, that and the strands of small lights really makes it seem like something out of a fairytale.

Beautiful Wedding
Just wanted to post really quick so everyone will know we're all still alive here. We did survive the wedding. Ahhhhhhhhh such a relief that it's over, but then again so hard to believe it was over so fast.
Everything was so beautiful and the weather couldn't have been any better.
I also want to brag on my sweet husband, if not for him I don't know what we would have done, he worked so very hard on everything. He even took a vacation week to help get things all ready. As one of my friends said "They broke the mold after making him".
I'll post more about the wedding and share pictures soon .... right now I'm just enjoying relaxing and not having to do a thing.

Signs
Whewwwww hard to believe the wedding is so close, things are coming together nicely. I'm so excited and I know everything is going to be lovely. Also, the last time I checked the weather forecast Saturday is supposed to be really nice...I'm praying it is since the wedding is outside.
I had wanted to have some signs made for directions to the wedding for people who weren't familiar with the area, I had attempted to make my own but they turned out honky tonky looking. Well after calling a few places in Columbus to get prices for six signs and hearing the cheapest ones where like $18 each me and Steve decided to get out some more wood and paint and give it another try of making our own. We worked on these Friday and Saturday, they may not be the most beautiful things but I think they aren't bad. We only needed one doubled sided one for the turn off a main hwy, the others I didn't bother putting their names, I just put the word wedding. I am going to dress them up a little with some tulle and ribbon on the stake right underneath the sign, I have one done and it looks pretty...I just don't have a photo uploaded of it to share.
I'll tell ya another thing, it has really been nice that we are into antiques and have a huge stash of neat stuff in the barn, we really haven't had to buy alot at all to decorate with because we already had so much on hand.
Today I am doing some last minute alterations to Tiffany's dress and I still have to cut mine off and hem it, was going to get someone else to do it for me but heck I'm just gonna do it myself. Trying to save all the $$$$$$$$$$$$$ I can !

The Time Is Getting Near
Yesterday evening we rode out to the site of Tiffany and Dustin's wedding to make final plans as to where things are going to be placed, etc. We were there at the actual time the wedding is going to be held, ohhhhhhhhhh it's going to be so pretty.
Here is a photo of the big pecan tree they'll be married underneath. Tiffany has beaded jars and they're going to be hanging from the tree branches with candles in them (we're using battery operated tea light candles so we don't have to worry about the wind blowing them out)
The pictures below are the pavilion where the reception will be held (we have to go out one day and replace lights, it has tons of white Christmas lights in the pavilion or course half of them don't work and the owner said he couldn't guarantee he could have it done before the wedding so we're gonna do it ourselves I guess). You'll have to excuse the old furniture that is under the pavilion in these photos, not sure what that's all about but it won't be there for the wedding/reception. Really I'm so excited, don't you think this is just going to be beautiful at night with all the white lights everywhere in it.

These geese flew over as we were out there, so pretty aren't they!
While there Molly found a little friend (a kitten) to keep her occupied. Not once did she say "I'm bored and ready to go home".
